About this book deutschenglish
The praxis, especially the photovoltaic industry, is faced with hardly predictable fluctuations in demand, so-called volatility. In answer to volatility flexibility is needed. In the theory the flexibility research goes back to the beginning of business economics and by now flexibility is required by total supply chains. Nevertheless regarding the existing literature of business economics a process model is missing that is theoretically grounded, all-embracing as well as suitable to be put into practice and that provides a guideline for systematic flexibility planning. Within the present doctoral thesis such a process model for systematic operative flexibility planning is developed by using the example of the photovoltaic industry. That model constitutes furthermore a reference model for any value adding production systems.
