The cultural and social scientist Andrés Sebastian Sienkiewicz pursues in his book the question of an anthropological sensibility. His position is different from the actual theory of practice, a theory, suggesting that the individual can follow and represent only her/his interests and that of her/his milieus. He insists upon an ability to feel, which is prior to the modern division of work, the practical job specialization. The author wants to understand practice in a more sensible context, since he is convinced, that the sciences of human beings have to spend more time for the phenomenon of a felt culture. The discussion about the right action is not only a cognitive matter. Our world is often worked up and shaped emotionally. Therefore, a society of reason cannot be forced only with an advance in practical communication, meaning cognition. Theoretical classifications, which, according to the practice-theoretician Pierre Bourdieu can obviously for the scientific observer be first internalized when humans interact with each other, are from a realistic point of view only maps of phenomena, that had been pervaded emotionally before. The practitioner is less accounting than his reputation, admitting no individuality. In a theory of comprehension of social emotions this book tries to contrast the instrumental colonialism not with a productive instinct (practical illusio) but with an urgent need for authenticity.
