About this book deutschenglish
The purpose of this book is to identify the sources of sustainable competitive advantage that enable wholesalers to withstand the disintermediation processes. From a research point of view, the importance of e-business for wholesale establishments does not currently enjoy the limelight. Additionally, the existing stream of research addressing wholesale enterprises concentrates itself on the disintermediation hypothesis. The wholesaling intermediaries acting in the e-business environment are endangered by decreasing transaction costs and face the risk of being omitted from the entire value system. The profound analysis of the operational effectiveness and strategic positioning of the wholesale establishments will result in the identification of potential sources of competitive advantage that will be assessed with the analytical model developed at an earlier stage. The main purpose is to determine which resources can be considered as a potential source of a sustained competitive advantage for wholesale establishments in the dynamic environment of e-business. The assessment model provides a solid footing for the strategy formulation by wholesale establishments.Kontakt zum Autor
